Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026 · English only for now

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) Cogvia uses. In short: we only use what’s strictly necessary to make the app work — no tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use “local storage,” a similar browser feature, for a couple of things that never leave your device.

2. Cookies We Use

Session cookie (authentication) — keeps you signed in between visits. Set by our authentication library when you log in; removed when you log out or it expires. Strictly necessary — the Service can’t recognize you as signed in without it.

Language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) — remembers which language you last viewed the site in, so you don’t have to reselect it every visit. Strictly necessary for the app’s basic function of showing you the right language.

3. What We Don't Use

No Google Analytics, no advertising or retargeting pixels, no third-party tracking cookies, no cross-site tracking of any kind.

4. Local Storage

A few pieces of information are kept only in your browser’s local storage, never sent to our servers: your recently viewed titles, your recent searches, and whether you’ve dismissed the “install app” banner. Clearing your browser data removes these.

5. Managing Cookies

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, there’s no consent banner or toggle — blocking them in your browser will simply break sign-in and language memory. You can still clear cookies for this site anytime through your browser settings.

6. Changes

We’ll update the date above if this changes — for example, if we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first.
